Health nutrition is an aspect which is broad and contains many topics.  It ranges from your diet and what goes into your body to how much you exercise physically.

Health Diet Nutrition

This topic is extremely important for our body and well being.  Food is what provides our bodies with energy throughout the day and so it is important to learn what foods benefit the bodies the most.  If you put the wrong foods in your body, it can affect your health, energy, and your offspring as well.

Of the many different categories of health, nutrition is without a doubt the most important.  Eating healthy is the cornerstone to a healthy life and is crucial to survival throughout your life.

Just because you choose to eat wisely does not mean you cannot enjoy your favorite foods.  It just means that you have to choose your foods carefully so that you can get the correct amount servings from all of the food groups. Eating a variety of foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy will ensure you are getting full nutrition.

Maintaining a healthy body weight is important for you to know with health nutrition. Not only will you benefit with a great looking body, but you will feel better mentally and emotionally.  You will have more energy and feel much about yourself.

Getting Advice

If you find yourself really needing the help of a nutritionalist or a dietician, go and seek one so they can work with you personally to keep you on track to eating the correct foods because you do not want to stray from a diet because you do not have the will power to resist the urge of tempting foods.

Having a diet doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy yourself while eating, you will just have to research the many great healthy foods and meals that are out there.  You do not have to strictly stay will vegetables.   Having a personal trainer would not be a bad idea either because exercise goes great with dieting nad eating healthy.

Health Fitness Guide – Thoughts, The Foundation For All Health And Fitness Achievement

“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve” – W. Clement Stone

Like any learned skill, there are certain basics that must be mastered first. The very bedrock upon which all health and fitness achievement rests are thoughts. Everything man-made in the world or any action you’ve taken in the past all started with a thought. There is not one man-made object or goal that didn’t start as a thought in someone’s head that was then made into reality. Your toaster, your TV, your automobile, your desire for better health.

A single thought ultimately transformed into physical reality.

In order to achieve any health or fitness goal you must start with this basic concept; thoughts are things. Thoughts are the foundation upon which you build the framework for attainment of your goal. Every thought has a physical manifestation in our bodies; every thought produces physical substances called neuro-transmitting enzymes that have instant effects on how we feel and who we are at the cellular level.

Don’t believe me? Think of biting into a big, juicy lemon or think about fingernails slowly running down a chalk board and tell me you didn’t have an immediate, physical response.

Or how about a thought that changed the world?

Every day, thousands of times a day, all over the world people fly from destination to destination. It’s amazing that a person can step into a device that lifts them off the ground and flies through the air at great speed sometimes over great distances safely carrying them to their destination in a matter of minutes or hours! Only a bit over a hundred years ago that would have been considered impossible or a miracle. Yet it happens every day today and it started with a thought in someone’s head that man could fly. On December 17th, 1903 the thought that man had had for generations to fly, became reality.

That is the power of thoughts!

If you can have that kind of immediate response from such a simple thought, just imagine what you can accomplish with a focused, burning desire backed by faith and persistence!

Life isn’t fair or normal, there’s just life. But that should be a comforting thought. If life were fair all things would be equal and all people would be equal. The logical conclusion is that there could be no social movement up or down, no bettering of yourself nor worsening, no getting healthier, just stagnation. Because life isn’t fair it means you have the ability to control whether you improve your life or make it worse but at least you have the ability to make change.

What about external influences which you have no control over? Say your significant other is killed in a car accident or you become paraplegic in a skiing accident. The list could go on and on. But there is one thing you have total control over.

Viktor E. Frankl, a concentration camp survivor, put it best in his book “Man’s Search for Meaning,”

“The one thing you can’t take away from me is the way I choose to respond to what you do to me. The last of one’s freedoms is to choose ones attitudes in any given circumstance.”

The only absolute freedom you have is choosing how you react to life. And how you choose starts with a thought.

Who you are right now is the sum total of what you’ve thought about up to this moment. If you’re not satisfied with who you are right now, the good news is who you will be from now on is entirely up to you. Change your thoughts and you can start changing yourself. If you want to lose weight or be more fit, it all starts with a thought.

Health & Fitness, Benefits of Martial Arts

STRENGTH ::

The many stances of Wushu build leg and care muscle ( abdominal & lower back ) strength and the necessity of holding poses while training builds strong stabilizing muscles much the same way you would. Weapons practice works like weight bearing exercises, to build good arm and back strength as well. A Wushu practitioner who practice his/her art on a regular basis, with no other supplemental exercise programme, develop a lean toned muscular look similar to that of a dancer.

FLEXIBILITY ::

Wushu Practice builds all around flexibility, more so then even most other martial art-hamstring, calf, hip, chest, back, arms and shoulders are just a few of the body part that are stretched regularly, even wrist and ankles get a good stretch! While genetics and age affect how flexible you can become, all of our students who have come on a regular basis for at most a couple of years ( easier than it sound – time flies when your having fun )can do a full front split.

BALANCE ::

A very important aspect of Wushu, balance is developed both by standing exercises on one leg as well as learning how to find your center so that even when performing quick traveling movements you never lose your balance. After learning Wushu, you might still trip now and then but you’ll seldom fall.

COORDINATION ::

Hand / Eye coordination is an important skill, which most of us learn to varying degrees of success in childhood. For children in particular this is one of the greatest benefits in taking a wushu class, but even adults can benefits from improving in this area, especially if you still find yourself occasionally knocking things over at the dinner table of hiding at the company softball game because you’re more certain of being hit with the ball then catching it.

STAMINA ::

Stamina is more than being strong enough to exercise for a long time; it also suggests a strong mind able to withstand extreme stress without buckling under. In Wushu you slowly and steadily demand more from yourself as your body and mind becomes adjusted to the exercises. Your staying power will begin to increase as you learn to use your mind and body as one to accomplish something you likely did not rrealize it is happening until you see those around give up on thing long before you even think they have become difficult.

REFLEXES ::

Reflexes develop as a natural result of strength and coordination, however in Wushu as these traits develop you will work on increasing you reflex reaction time so that not only can you be strong as flexible, but you can move quickly if the need arises. Important if you ever had to flight or run to protect yourself, certainly, but also useful in catching flying silverware before it lands in your lop or on the rug.

BODY AWARENESS ::

Body awareness is the culmination of developing all the above traits.It means what it sounds like, that your mind is aware of what your body is doing and can direct it. This may seem like something that everyone already does, but it is just not so. People who say they have two left feet when they dance are complaining about lack of body awareness. When we marvel at someone’s ability to learn any physical activity quickly we might say “they are so athletic ” when what we mean is that they have a great sense of body awareness. Body awareness, once learned, will not be forgotten. So even if you quite exercising and put on 50 pounds, you may be out of shape, but your body awareness will remain and if you decide to suddenly take a tango class people will still marvel at how quickly you are able to learn and perform the moves.

Your Own Health Fitness Kit in Mexico

Being in the Grupo Mayan country known as Mexico does not really mean that you have to leave fitness behind. What is a 30 minutes’ worth of jogging or brisk walking on the beach or in the walkways? Most of the Grupo Mayan resorts have their own fitness center, not to mention spa and swimming pool, where you can burn those excess calories and keep yourself in shape all throughout your stay.

But you may have to bring along your own health kit with you. Here are some of them:

1. Towels. Though most of the Grupo Mayan hotels are equipped with gymnasiums, a number of them do not supply you with your own supplies, including a towel. Thus, you have to bring yours when you exercise. Ensure that this is completely different from the ones you utilize when taking a bath. The towel, specifically a small one, is meant to wipe away your perspiration when you are doing the treadmill or any strenuous activity. Sweat can get into your eyes, and it will prevent you from seeing things a lot clearer. To avoid losing your towel or, worse, used by another, embroider your name into it.

2. Bottle of water. Most of the Grupo Mayan fitness areas have their own purified water for free. You simply have to grab your own cup. Some even have their own mini-café, selling healthy snacks and beverages. However, if you happen to be outside doing your daily fitness routine, bring along a bottle of water with you. You can never be so sure of the quality of water in Mexico. You can buy it in stores you see near the area or from the hotel.

3. Extra shirts. There are a number of reasons why an extra shirt is needed when you are doing your fitness regimen. First, you may smell, and the odor will stick to your shirt. You thus have to change it when you are getting all too sweaty. Second, it is a not a good idea to allow the room’s air-conditioner to get into you while you’re perspiring. You may suffer from respiratory illness. Since Mexico is generally a tropical country, you can go with cotton shirts. They can also provide you with proper ventilation. Sweatshirts are really not necessary.

4. Medicines. Why do you need medicines in Mexico? There’s a possibility that the medication you’re taking or need is not available in the Grupo Mayan clinic or even in nearby drugstores. There are also possible accidents that can happen while you’re doing an exercise, such as when you sprain an ankle or get nauseous. You don’t have to bring your entire medicine cabinet with you. Usually, generic ones can be easily obtained. You may also have to bring your vitamins with you, as you need the energy to sustain the exercises.

Health kits must be one of your primary considerations when traveling to Mexico. In fact, they must be packed and ready to be used once you arrive in the country.

Grupo Mayan resorts offer you a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of your hectic life. They offer world-class facilities, including golf courses, conference rooms, and classy restaurants. You can also take advantage of their exceptional customer service. To know more about it, visit http://www.grupomayanfriends.com

5 Winning Secrets To Creating a Successful Pathway For Long Term Lifestyle Changes

In this article I will address the five stages of change that will give you the lasting success and results you deserve…

The five stages are:

1. Pre- contemplation

2. Contemplation

3. Preparation

4. Action

5. Maintenance

The characteristics are distinct and recognizable. It is my job to point out  to customers, clients, and prospects that you will be in the contemplation and/ or preparation stage for at least one area (fitness, weight, nutrition, stress, health) and  my coaching program will help you reach the maintenance phase (sustaining the new behavior consistenly week to week) within 3-6 months. It is my job as a coach to help you move forward in areas where you have been pre- contemplating and recognize the openings during our coaching discussions. When you progress in one area your confidence in changing will grow and you will become ready to move forward  in another area.

1. Pre- contemplation

Two types of people in this catagory people either are thinking about changing the “I won’t” and the “I can’t” people.

2. Contemplation

This is the “I may” stage. At this stage, clients, customers, and prospects are thinking about changing an unhealthy behavior and are considering taking action within the next six months.

3. Preparation

At this stage you will be using the terms “I will”. Your motivation has strengthened and you are planning to take some action within a month.

4. Action

This is better known as the “I am” stage. You have identified the new behavior that you want to establish and are doing it consistenly, building up to your target levels.

5. Maintenance

We say this is the “I still am” stage. This stage usually begins six months after the initial behavior has changed.
